Papadakis Honored, Outlines Plans for Law School and Support for Foundation 06-01-2005
The Justinian Society & Foundation hosted our annual scholarship luncheon honoring Dr. Constantine Papadakis, President of Drexel University on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at The Union League. All proceeds benefit The Justinian Foundation which awarded five $3,000 law school scholarships to highly-deserved individuals including, Maria Braccia, Matthew Faranda-Diedrich, Nicholas William Mattiacci, Caitlin Piccarello and Anna Rizzi.
Dr. Papadakis was introduced by the Society’s own Joseph H. Jacovini, Chair of Dilworth Paxson, LLP and Chair, Board of Trustees of Drexel University. Also in attendance were many dignitaries from the bench, bar and local commerce. Mayor John Street presented the students, the Foundation and Dr. Papadakis with his accolades.
Dr. Papadakis outlined his plans for Drexel University’s School of Law, scheduled to open fall of 2006 and pledged matching funds for every scholarship presented by The Justinian Foundation to a student at the new university. |
