Gaetan Alfano to Run for Philadelphia Bar Association Board of Governors 11-14-2006
Gaetan Alfano, Immediate Past Chancellor of The Justinian Society will run for the Philadelphia Bar Association Board of Governors. Ballots for this year’s bar election will be mailed on November 17. In-person voting will occur on December 5. All Justinian members are encouraged to vote.
Gaetan Alfano is a founding shareholder of the Philadelphia law firm of Miller, Alfano & Raspanti, the largest minority-owned firm in Philadelphia. Mr. Alfano is heavily involved in community service through various officer positions in the Justinian Society and Foundation. Through the Foundation, he has assisted in raising a $300,000 treasury which has been used to award law school scholarships. Mr. Alfano is also a member of the Hearing Committee of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. In 2005, Governor Rendell appointed Mr. Alfano to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, where he is responsible for financial decisions involving personnel, maintenance, and construction. Mr. Alfano has been selected by his peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for Business Litigation in 2004, 2004 and 2006.
Mr. Alfano has been endorsed for a three year term on the Board of Governors by the Bar Association’s Nominating Committee, the Public Interest Law Section, the Justinian Society, the Brehon Law Society, and the Louis D. Brandeis Law Society, to date. |
